Designed with CIGS solar cells, which are made with stainless steel, these modules are extremely strong while maintaining flexibility. CIGS solar cells are also more sensitive to light, so your solar modules will work hard even on cloudy days or twilight hours. 

LIGHT & FLEXIBLE

We’re sticklers for making things easier. Most solar panels install with mounting brackets and other hardware. We have simplified it to using adhesives. Double-sided adhesives keep Xplor panels held on tight, even while going 85 mph down Route 395. XPLOR solar panels come with the adhesive on the back and ready to be installed.

Safety is key. We’ve spent countless hours working with different testing agencies to ensure our solar panels are electrically safe and approved for use in both off-grid and on-grid solutions. While there aren’t any standards for off-grid solar panels, we follow the strict standards of on-grid solar panels for our manufacturing process.

With bypass diodes on every cell, the modules will still maintain efficient power output if they are partially blocked by you or your gear, ensuring you don’t run out of power when you need it most.

Who needs XPLOR’s FLEX+ solar modules?

When we say rugged, we mean it. XPLOR FLEX+ solar panels are not for the faint of heart. They are designed to perform in harsh weather, low light, and if one cell is damaged, the rest will continue to generate power.

FLEX+ solar panels are best suited for vehicles or vessels that:

  • Have plenty of space to install solar panels

  • Will be in areas with limited direct sunlight, such as the PNW or in the far northern hemisphere 

  • Run the risk of having a lot of debris on the solar panels

  • Use roof space for storing items such as a kayak

  • May want to use the space where solar panels are installed to walk on, such as a rooftop deck on a campervan or the hull of a boat

We can have solar panels and keep the space on deck, which allows for more utility that we would otherwise lose with other types of solar setups.
