TinyFest: It’s Not Just About Tiny Homes
Have you heard of TinyFest? This event is hosted in various cities around the country annually, celebrating all-things-tiny-living. Although the main attractions are the tiny houses and builders that come to showcase their designs, there’s so much more to experience at Tiny Fest than tiny homes alone.
The festival is a gathering of enthusiasts, builders, and designers who come together to showcase the latest trends, technologies, and innovations for tiny living. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to live a more minimalistic lifestyle, this is the event for you.
We attend TinyFest in San Diego annually, and it’s always such a wonderful experience.
What You’ll Find at TinyFest
TinyFest is a great opportunity for anyone interested in tiny living to learn more about the lifestyle and to connect with others who share their passion. From tiny homes on wheels (THOWs) to ADUs, to converted school busses and campervans, TinyFest showcases all kinds of tiny living options.
Tiny activities with a big impact
The festival features various activities, including workshops, seminars, and exhibits. Attendees can explore different types of tiny homes, from traditional cottages to high-tech, modern designs. They can also learn about the latest building materials and techniques, as well as the best ways to design and decorate a tiny home.
Tours of tiny homes, campervans, and converted school buses
One of the festival's highlights is the opportunity to tour different types of tiny homes. Visitors can step inside a variety of models, from cozy cabins to sleek, contemporary designs. They can see firsthand how these homes are designed to maximize space and functionality, and they can get inspiration for their own tiny home projects.
The Nomad Village is probably our favorite because it features converted campervans, skoolies (school buses converted into homes), and even overlanding vehicles tricked out with camping gear. Owners of the purpose-built vehicles are there to answer questions and provide advice as you tour their rigs.
Vendor marketplace for all-things-tiny-living
The festival also features a vendor marketplace where attendees can browse all sorts of tiny living-related products and services. Exhibitors include builders, architects, designers, and vendors of everything from solar panels to composting toilets. Visitors can also enjoy food, live music, and other entertainment throughout the festival.
TinyFest is not just a celebration of the tiny living movement – it’s also a platform for education and advocacy. The festival aims to raise awareness about the benefits of tiny living, including its potential to reduce carbon footprints and promote sustainable lifestyles. We are very proud to be a part of this festival, and we hope you get the chance to attend the event yourself!
